Job Description: Design and develop new connectors (concepts, related feasibility research, cost quotes, timelines, etc) Complete documentation (drawings, FMEAs, control plans, DVPRs, etc.) for designs. Manage document control, ECOs, ECN and release of drawings. Support manufacturing with new design reviews, timely release of drawings, production issues. Work closely with manufacturing on continuous product improvement and cost reduction plans. Qualifications: 5 years minimum connector or electro-mechanical design experience (ideally small parts/components) Good understanding of metals and plastics processing and assembly techniques Previous experience with GDT principles Proficient with Solidworks (They use Solidworks 2015) Desired: PCB design and SMT experience 2-3 years customer interaction Project management skills that demonstrate the ability to set goals and priorities Understanding of FEA, contact physics Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) About Aerotek: Aerotek, headquartered in Hanover, Md., is a leading provider of technical, professional and industrial staffing services.
