Job Description POSITION OBJECTIVE Directs all Associate Relations activities and provides consultation to all Associates and Executives. To support the culture and meet the needs of the business. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Builds strong relationships with internal partners to serve as a knowledgeable resourceServe as a resource for management on issues relating to disciplinary and/or staffing decisions. Counsel staff and management to consistently apply corporate policies to people-based issues.Recognize potential issues and recommends corrective action. Empower Facility Management to handle issues through continuous trainingMaintain existing policies including, but not limited to, the Associate Handbook and Business Ethics HandbookAnalyze data on Associate turnover and satisfaction with issues such as pay, benefits, and working conditions. Work with Facility Management to proactively respond to the issues presented by AssociatesWork with Corporate counsel in coordinating the companys legal responses related to all formal charges including but not limited to FMLA, ADA and EEOProvide timely feedback to advise and coach business partnersMaintain effective communication with all internal partners to ensure productivity, morale and performance of Associates and ExecutivesListen to Associates concerns and promotes a thorough understanding of policies and procedures. Encourage problem resolution through chain of commandRecommend and advise management and staff regarding personnel practices and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal laws QUALIFICATIONS preferredMultiple years of Employee Relations or Human Resources experienceStrong working knowledge of policies, procedures and lawsWorking knowledge of MS Office including Word and ExcelAbility to manage and adapt to a changing environment and able to implement multiple tasks simultaneouslyEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work as part of a team and interact effectively with othersHigh level of critical thinking and decision making skills This describes general information about the position however should not be considered comprehensive.
