Opportunity with at Tier 1 Supplier to act as a liaison between customer and OEM. Will be Representative to an Automotive OEM customer when visiting vehicle assembly plants and dealers as necessary; and, when attending related customer quality meetings. At times, will be responsible for providing technical assistance to instrument a vehicle for data acquisition of transmission related performance parameters. In a timely manner, responsible to provide formal internal communication via reports that may include photos, graphs or charts to illustrate measured performance, observations, or field data analysis. Verbalized findings and objective opinions sometimes precedes written reports. Major Accountabilities Support field staff including dealer techs, regional managers on technical information on products. This includes visiting assembly plants, dealers and other related customers per a predetermined schedule or as requested by the customer. ED/ER activity for new launched transmission. Provides quality support and information to customers and OEMs. Prepares summary reports of data and reports the information to Japan office. Investigates customer complaints regarding products. Provides resolutions to problems (where applicable) for the customer. Contact field staff and regular staff to provide information on mis-installed transmissions. Set up and host meetings and provide vehicle service history to transmission received for investigation. Generates reports and daily TAS case warranty monitoring. Maintain contact with warranty administrator to provide information of mis-installed remanufactured transmissions and provide technical expertise on root cause of failures. Knowledge & Skills Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred with Technical background. Engineering or automotive dealership experience helpful 5 to 7 years experience Technical understanding of automatic transmission and vehicle functions and mechanical aptitude Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Strong planning, organizing, communication and problem solving skills Self-driven and able to operate independently Toyota Experience Preferred Very important: - This job will train for 3-4 months in Auburn Hills, MI - This job will then be positioned in Torrence, CA until 2018 - In 2018, this job relocates permanently to Plano, TX *You must be, at minimum, able to work in Torrance, CA with Plano TX being optional if you decide to continue on with the role at that time to Texas.
