Medical Biller, Pomona, $15/hr Candidate MUST have medical billing AND call center experience with strong customer service skills. Qualifications: * General knowledge of Microsoft Office and Email. * Good organizational skills. * Ability to work independently and manage time wisely. * Ability to work well with other employees as a cohesive department * Billing Certificate (preferred) or 2 years experience Job Duties: * Create invoices for all Work Comp claims and submit to the appropriate payer. * Follow-up on assigned monthly aging report to ensure Work Comp claims are being processed for correct payment to include submitting documents as requested by the payer, requesting claims to be reprocessed for payment as needed, submitting Appeals for claims as needed, and following up on all denials received for claims. * Create and authorize invoices for WellCare patient hearing test referrals and hearing aid recommendations. * Assist Wellcare providers with questions regarding their referrals and hearing aid recommendations. Obtain Letter of Medical Necessity and supporting documentation for hearing aid recommendations requiring Prior Authorization from Medical Director. * Check eligibility of WellCare patients prior to submitting claims. Create and mail denial letters to the provider if a patient is not eligible for the services requested. * Submit Adjustment Requests for accounts which require an adjustment due to Contract Agreement or Courtesy adjustment is indicated due to error. * Submit Refund Request for any overpayment owed after the claim processed. * Assist patients calling regarding questions and concerns about their claim. * Assist Call Center when call volume is heavy.
