POSITION SUMMARY: Operates multiple electrical discharge machines, single ram type or multiple ram type to produce products that meet the requirements. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: With minimum supervision correctly and properly operate electrical discharge single ram or multiple ram machines Monitor amps, volts, frequencies and oil pressures Review travelers to determine work needed Correctly set power supply settings Read and correctly interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches of our products Correctly use basic shop mathematics Properly interpret standard charts, manuals and travelers instructions Properly use machine shop tools/measuring instruments, including micrometer, calipers, indicators, clamps, vices Properly set-up machines Perform job assignments meeting requirements of. Correctly and thoroughly visually and manually inspect finished parts using gate blocks and proper tools Position and secure fixtures, parts and electrodes Properly position electrode to work piece and verify alignment, flatness, concentricity and depth Meet compliance requirements of Guidelines B4 and all conduct business guidelines Correctly complete time cards and worksheets Use safe practices ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Good housekeeping of work area Problem solving on practical job-related problems Establish most efficient procedure Work with minimum amount of supervision Assist in training other employees in related work when supervisor requests Assist other employees when needed Notify supervisor when supplies are low Notify supervisor when equipment/tool repair is needed Basic machinery maintenance (oil, lubrication and cleaning) ()
