Position PurposeThe In-Room Dining Server provides Food and Beverage room service for the breakfast, lunch, and dinner service periods.Duties and Responsibilities Prepares, delivers and services all room service orders. Responsible for each guest check and co-ordination of tables/tray pick-ups. Responsible for delivery, set-up and presentation of VIP and other guest amenities. Responsible for ensuring that room service orders are promptly and accurately delivered. Must follow proper departmental SOPs as far as fulfilling room service orders.-- Assist with side work for servers as needed. Including but not limited to polishing of glasses, silverware, and rollups.Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes Full knowledge of entire breakfast, lunch, and breakfast menus. Must have knowledge of table set-up and presentation. Must have knowledge of hotel rooms and surrounding dinging areas. Ability to communicate effectively with guests at all times. Working knowledge of MICROS POS system. Ability to work weekends is a MUSTQualifications: Previous Food and Beverage serving experience in a hotel. Experience with Food and Beverage point of sale systems. Good telephone speaking and listening ability.Education: High School Diploma or GED required.Experience:-- Minimum 1 year experience at a luxury or equivalent establishment (required).Certification: Must have active Food Handler---s and TIPS certification.
